Waitomo’s Glow Worm Caves

The Arachnocampa luminosa is a glowworm species that only occurs in New Zealand. You can see these luminescent worms on a tour of the Waitomo Glowworm Caves on New Zealand's North Island. During the tour you will sail a boat through the cave, where you can see this natural phenomenon. Children up to 4 years have free entrance. Children (4-14) must pay an entrance fee of NZD$25 and an additional child NZD$25. This is converted about €14 and €11. Adults pay NZD$55 per person. This is approximately €31. You can also buy a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) for NZD$136. This is approximately €77.

True adventurers can also try Black Water Rafting. The legendary Black Water Rafting Tour is a 5 hour tour. You will abseil into the deep caves, zip line through the glow worm caves, climb underground waterfalls and tube through fast waters in the cave. This costs NZD$260 (€153.52) per adult.
